Doctors Without Walls – Santa Barbara Street Medicine has come a long way since its inception in 2005. What began as the passion-fueled idea of family practice physician Dr. Noemi “Mimi” Doohan, is now a nonprofit organization comprised of over 170 local, community volunteers committed to serving the underserved population of Santa Barbara by providing free, volunteer medical care.

Over the past 13 years, DWW-SBSM has served the Santa Barbara community through advocacy, education, and outreach. The hard work and dedication of our founding, previous, and current volunteers allows us to stand as we do now, providing service through two park clinics, a women’s clinic, a clinic in Lompoc, and street rounds and Companion Care programs that allow us to truly live up to our mission of meeting people where and when they are in need.
